Director

Professor Daphne Kaitelidou

Professor on Health Services Management and Policy, in Faculty of Nursing, University of Athens (full time academic staff) since 2005 and Director of Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation since 2011. Since 2002 she lectures in a Health Services Management graduate course at the University of Athens (Master in Health Services Management) and has also worked as a Contractual Academic Staff at the Greek Open University and Open University of Cyprus. Over the last 10 years she has worked as a Researcher in the Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation, University of Athens. She has participated in many Greek and International Projects (over 40) and published many articles in national and international level. Her main research interests lie in the areas of health management, health policy, health economics and technology assessment, performance measurement of health services and human resources management.

Collaborating staff

Petros Galanis, Assistant Professor in Research Methodology and Evidence Based Nursing, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Nursing, 

PhD degree at Public Health and since 2008 he has worked as a research fellow in Faculty of Nursing, University of Athens and in particular in the Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation. He is a registered nurse and he has a Master’s degree in Public Health. During 2002-2007 he worked as a research fellow in Laboratory of Clinical Epidemiology, in Faculty of Nursing cooperating with Emeritus Professor Loukas Sparos. He is teaching Epidemiology, Research Methodology, Medical Decisions Theory, Demography and Biostatistics in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He is coauthor in over 150 publications in peer reviewed journals with over 900 citations on his work. Also, he has written the following 7 books in Greek: (a) Epidemiology I, (b) Essays in Epidemiology, (c) Textbook of Epidemiology, (d) Clinical and Epidemiological Research, (e) Data analysis methodology in health sciences. Applications with IBM SPSS Statistics, (f) Writing and publication of papers in health sciences, (g) Research Methodology in Health Sciences. He participated in National and International research projects (e.g. (a) The detection, transcription, and analysis of inequalities to healthcare access for immigrants living in Greece, (b) Support to the Ministry of Health of Greece in developing the tools for conducting periodic user satisfaction surveys in public health care facilities, (c) The accessibility of vulnerable groups to health services in Greece etc.).

Olga Siskou, Assistant Professor in Health Economics, University of Piraeus

Senior Researcher in Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation since 2002, in Faculty of Nursing National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2008 she is Deputy National Representative to OECD Health Committee. She has participated in many Greek and International Projects (37) and published many articles in national and international level with peer review system. She lectures in a Health Services Management graduate course at the University of Athens (Master in Health Services Management) and she is also working as a Contractual Academic Staff (part-time) at the Open University of Cyprus. Her main research interests lie in the areas of Health Expenditure Estimation, Health Policy, Health Services and Human Resources Management.

Olympia Konstantakopoulou, Economist, MSc, PhD, Senior Researcher

Economist (Bachelor’s in Management Science and Technology, School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Economics, School of Economic Sciences, Athens University of Economics and Business), with a MSc in Health Care Services Management (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, NKUA) and a doctoral student in Healthcare Management and Health Economics (NKUA). She has participated since 2013 as a Research Fellow at the Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation) in projects funded on a national, European and international level in the fields of health and social care services management, health economics, health and social inequalities amongst vulnerable population groups, health policy, public health and health education. She has also extended professional and research experience in the areas of Statistics/Biostatistics.
